HARDWARE SOPs

Seacocks: Underway At dock/Anchor

a. Engine intake Open Open...

b. Head intake ________ ________

c. Head shower ________ ________

d. Galley sink drain ________ ________

e. Galley salt water intake ________ ________

f. Head discharge Closed Closed..

Engine Start:

a. Turn on battery switches for Engine. Battery bank to both.
b. Shift to neutral.
c. Throttle up (to recommended starting position).
d. Pull Alternator plug.
e. Press glow plug (10-15 sec ) if needed.
f. Press ignition
g. When started, CHECK WATER EXHAUST

Engine Kill:

a. Throttle down, shift to neutral.
b. Push/pull kill switch, push alternator plug.
c. Shift to reverse.
d. Battery switch off.
f. Battery bank to 1 or 2

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG):

a. Tank valve always open, all else closed
b. When needed, Open mechanical valve; Turn on Panel switch
c. When needing a burner/oven ONLY. Turn on galley CNG switch
d. Have wet paper towels ready while lighting
e. Switch all off (except tank valve) when finished.

Hatches & Portholes:

All closed while underway (unless very calm)
